Headshot photography has recently gone through a transformation and has gone through a renaissance of sorts.
There is such a wide variety of photography styles, choosing the right headshot photographer can be a big task. we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of styles. From simple and clean - a white background, to environmental portraits that really show off your character and what makes you and your business unique.
Whether you are an individual looking for that one magical image, or a larger company that has a number of staff that need team photos we can cover your needs.
We come to you. If needed we will set up a studio location right on site, or we can scout out the perfect location for a photoshoot.
Getting your headshot done is not always the most comforting thought. If you are at all typical, posing in front of a camera does not conjure up ideas of happiness and warmth. that is where our expertise and experience will play a large role. during your photo shoot we will teach you some tips and tricks to appear more natural on camera. Posing guidance throughout your session will be provided, and you can take comfort by asking to see the photos midway through, giving feedback and advice on what is working and what is not. we haven't had anyone die during a photo session… At least not yet. ;)
We look to provide a friendly and fun experience, whilst remaining professional and respecting your time. sometimes we have enough time to focus on just you and spend an afternoon, other times we are expected to photograph 40 staff members in an afternoon and will quickly move through the list.
What is included in your headshot session?
We will take a variety of images, and provide you with a gallery with which you can choose your favourites. Depending on what you are after, we will edit up your favourite images and make them look stunning. We are professional photographic retouchers capable of providing anything from a flawless blemish free look, to a more stylized embellishment. It all depends on you!
All selected images, will be edited and provided in high resolution. They will also be in both colour and black-and-white.
Quick turnaround times are always our goal. We know often that head shots are needed on a short timeline. Perhaps it is getting the images to a web designer or to send to an event promoter, we will not keep you waiting. Often times we are able to turn around head shots in a day or two.
How to book?
The first step is to inquire, use our contact form. Provide us with a few details to help us simplify the process.
Is there a specific occasion for these photos? An approximate date or timeline in which you need them? If you have a location in mind? How many people or staff you would like photographed?
Once we have the details of your shoot, we will look at booking you a time as soon as possible or whatever suits your timeline.
Preparation. if you need a referral to hair and makeup, we are happy to do that. We can also make recommendations on clothing, or any other details such as props or different settings. As for lighting and background, we provide all that. if there is an example of someone else's headshot or setting or something that inspires you, please shared with us. We do not do copies of other people's work, but can certainly use those influences to achieve any particular vision you may have. These are your photos, and we want you to be thrilled to bits with them.
Photo shoot. at the time of the photo shoot, you can rest easy knowing that we have a very simple and down-to-earth approach. If you are feeling anxious or uncomfortable, we will do everything in our power to set you at ease. We are photographers, and know exactly how intimidating the process can seem. Sometimes things can start off a little bit rocky, and that is not a bad thing. However by the end, you will realize the time flew by and it was not nearly as scary as you had envisioned. we are always open to your communication and feedback during the shoot, if something is working well we will let you know likewise if there is something that needs to be changed we will speak up.
Retouching and Editing. All of your images, once they are edited including removal of blemishes, softening of one desired wrinkles or bags under the eyes, smoothing out skin, changing clothing colours (within reason) will be delivered to you via digital gallery. You simply download the images from that gallery, and you are all set.
